PCI SECURE PAYMENT APPLICATION
Jackrabbit Connect is a fully compliant payment application available for new deployments and listed on the PCI Security Council’s website as such. Using a non-compliant payment application opens the doors to data thieves that can steal cardholder data. Data theft can occur for months without you knowing, but once the compromise is discovered it can cause a long and costly disruption to your business.
Convenience fees are fees that are billed directly to the cardholder, normally in a municipal environment. Visa and Mastercard mandate that a convenience fee must be fully disclosed at the time of sale and acknowledged by the cardholder. Furthermore, the fee must show up as a separate and unique transaction on the cardholder’s credit card statement. Jackrabbit Connect is a fully compliant convenience fee solution.
ONLINE CONVENIENCE FEES
Jackrabbit’s online web payment application allows municipalities to collect credit card and eCheck payments. The application is a fully secure PCI Certified environment that does not require users to set up an account. Users can simply follow a payment link from the municipal website and securely enter their payment information. An email notification is sent in real time to the customer and the municipal entity.
RETAIL CONVENIENCE FEES
Jackrabbit has integrated its convenience fee payment solution with the PAX-A80 for in-person convenience fee payments (https://www.pax.us/portfolio_page/a80/). The Pax-A80 can be used for contactless, chip or mag-swipe convenience fee transactions. Customers can quickly and easily make tax, utility, municipal fees, and parking violation payments at the municipal offices in a fully compliant and secure payment solution.
Storing sensitive credit card data is strictly prohibited by the card associations and the PCI Security Council. Jackrabbit uses Fiserv’s TransArmor tokenization solution through Datawire transport technology to process card transactions. Jackrabbit can store the fully encrypted token as a card credential for future authorizations.
Jackrabbit can store a card token to be used for a variety of future card transaction types. This includes re-occurring, individual or unscheduled payments. Re-occurring transactions can be set to process on a specific date of the month and for a specified number of payments. This allows the municipal entity to set it and forget it. Once the payment runs, the customer and municipality will immediately receive an email notification. The payment will post in the Jackrabbit admin panel for the municipal entity in real time.
Our fully secure but user-friendly virtual terminal makes it fast and easy for municipal payments to be accepted over the phone. Municipal employees can simply open a payment page and enter the customers payment info without the need to enter a password protected payment page. All payment data is fully secure and encrypted. The non-sensitive transaction data is then stored behind multiple firewalls on our secure servers. The sensitive data is discarded so the municipal body never needs to worry about a data breach that could expose sensitive card holder information.
All Jackrabbit functions are processed in real-time and stored in the dynamic admin panel so that transactions can be viewed, voided, refunded, printed, and emailed immediately after a payment has been made.
REAL TIME REPORTING
Jackrabbit Connect stores, records, and transacts everything in real-time. This allows for true next day funding and clear visibility of all payment inventory down to the transaction and terminal level.
Real time reporting with multiple custom report types allows municipal customers to export data sets in custom layouts to support their accounting needs.
PCI COMPLIANT CARD ON FILE
Sensitive cardholder data can never be stored by a payment application and still be considered PCI compliant. Jackrabbit Connect uses Token and Encryption technology to store non-sensitive data that can reference the original card data housed within the FISERV data environment. This process ensures compliance and data security, so the risk of a data breach does not expose the municipal body to any sensitive card data exposure.
FISERV CERTIFIED PAYMENT APPLICATION
Jackrabbit Connect is a FISERV certified software solution that is available to any FISERV ISO on the Nashville/North payment front end.
Jackrabbit allows full customer autonomy with its ISO partners. This gives the ISO the ability to provide processing rate discussions, set-up new terminals in house, activate or deactivate terminals, and manage payment types all without the need for a Jackrabbit Connect representative.

DYNAMIC DATA SEARCH
Jackrabbit Connect stores all non-sensitive data in the Jackrabbit Admin panel. This allows municipalities to search all data dynamically in real-time. All fields are searchable including, last four card number, date, transaction amount, customer name, email address, transaction type, terminal, and transaction source.
Dynamic data search allows customers to build custom reports by any metric that simplifies the accounting needs of the municipal customer. All search reports are exportable in Excel, CVS, or PDF formats.
